Our first Trunk-or-Treat/Haunted House is coming up soon, and it will be Spooktacular! Join other Sage families in our makeshift Halloween Village and enjoy “Trunk”-or-Treating, games & prizes, music, crafts and some light snacks. This is a FREE family event. The first 300 kids will receive through the gates will receive a Halloween tote bag and Glow necklace, so come early.
Also, it’s not too late to host a TRUNK! We have 20 families so far decorating their car trunks including Mrs. Fieberg. Some of the themes so far include Candyland, Emoji Fun, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Day of the Dead. There are so many more, but I don’t want to give it all away. If you would like to participate in this fun event, please email Cathy Patrick at sagepta@gmail.com. We also need help with the Haunted House that will be held in P8. It’s one of the coolest events of the year, and we have lots of ways you could be involved—1) be a part of the Planning Team, 2) lend or donate decorations or animatronics, 3) be part of the decorating crew on Thursday, 10/24 and Friday, 10/25 in the evenings, 4) run the Haunted House on the day of and 5) be part of the Strike team to break down the Haunted House after the event ends at 6 pm on Sunday the 27th. Red Ribbon Week is a national program to spread awareness on the dangers of drug and alcohol use. At Sage Canyon, we will spend a day focusing on the benefits of building lifelong healthy habits – physical and emotional. We want to thank our sponsors, 549 Sports and GC Dance Company, that our donating their time to run lunch activities. Also, every child will receive an apple, courtesy of Jimbo’s…Naturally! All children will also receive a Red Ribbon Bracelet that says, “Healthy Habits – Healthy Me.” Also, later in the month, teenage mentors from San Dieguito Alliance For A Drug-Free Youth will come to Sage Canyon to present to the 6th grade classes.
![]() The very first Sage Canyon Campout is fast approaching so reserve your spot today! It will be held at Del Mar Heights School, which has a beautiful ocean view. Families will camp under the stars and enjoy fun activities, a dance party, dessert, popcorn and a movie. This will be one of the more unforgettable events of the year. Register your spot while you can! Reduce your CO2 footprint and get your steps in at the same time. Join fellow Sage families at several different meeting spots and walk to school like a Coyote Pack! Once you get to school, you can enjoy bagels, juice and coffee, compliments of the Dad’s Club. Here are the meeting spots:

![]() Come to the Annual Sage Canyon Ice Cream social and enjoy ice cream (of course), music and the company of other Sage Canyon families. Back-to-School nights are great opportunities for parents to connect with their child/children's teacher(s). Come and learn about the year ahead for your child/children and learn about opportunities to volunteer in the classroom.

Can you believe it's the first day of school already? After you drop off your kid(s) come have a tearful (Boo Hoo) breakfast...or a joyful (Woo Hoo!) breakfast with fellow parents. Enjoy a cup of coffee and a muffin while also learning about the PTA and all of the exciting volunteer opportunities available this year. Hope to see you there!
