What’s the difference between the Sage Canyon PTA and the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation (DMSEF) and DMUSD?
The PTA brings family and community together at Sage with events, school programs, and a gift to school as needed each year. This year events including the cookie social, Halloween Fall Festival, Family Social Events, and Family Campout are all sponsored and coordinated by the PTA. In previous years the school gift included new classroom furniture, sports equipments, smart TV'S for educational learning, and future gifts to be determined based on need.
DMSEF will help fund the STEAM+ teachers who include the talented staff teaching Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, PE, Music and K-3rd Primary Spanish Program. Each child will receive education weekly in the five included programs throughout the school year.

Why should I give to both the PTA and the DMSEF?
We need both. We like to explain the difference by saying that the PTA pays for the microscopes and the DMSEF pays for the science teacher. The PTA Pays for the Gaga Pit and the DMSEF pays for the PE teacher. The PTA pays to fix the MUR Speakers and pay for audio/visual equipment and the DMSEF pays for the Music Teacher.
