Read-a-thon - Kick-Off Friday, 10/21/22; ends Fri, 10/28/22
The Sage Canyon Read-a-thon “Reading Rocks!” is coming soon (October 21st kickoff) and is the PTA’s most important and ONLY fundraiser of the year. The Read-a-thon raises money for Sage-specific programs and community building events that are essential to a robust learning experience. We really count on your support to help cover the costs of these programs. We are asking each family to contribute $200 per student. Please help us reach our goal of $60,000!
First, a Sage Canyon Read-a-thon fundraising page! Every child will be provided with his/her own fundraising page. All you have to do is go onto this link

Second, send your child’s Pledgestar link to your friends and family. This can be done directly from your fundraising page as well as linking it to your Facebook and Twitter accounts. We are hoping each family can raise $200 per child.
Third, get your kids reading! We have a lot of fun activities planned throughout the week of Read-a-thon to inspire and encourage a lifelong passion for reading!
Fourth, have your child track his/her reading minutes. Start a timer at the start of reading and write down the minutes read on the Read-a-thon reading log. Have your child turn it in to his or her teacher every morning for a chance to win daily giveaways and a chance to win “Most Minutes Read” in his or her class and grade level.
Fifth, volunteer as a guest reader in your child(ren)’s classroom(s). Teachers will be reaching out the week before the Read-a-thon for guest readers for Friday, 10/21 thru Friday, 10/28.

- Daily Classroom Giveaways – Students who turn in their daily reading log strip to their teacher have a chance to win a daily giveaway in their classroom.
